Transforming one of Japan’s most storied global maritime harbors into a dazzling stage, "Yokohama Sparkling Twilight" is a contemporary bayside celebration merging the sleek architectural skyline of Minato Mirai 21 with brilliant aerial pyrotechnics over Tokyo Bay. Staged across selected weekend evenings throughout 2026, it offers high-intensity short fireworks shows that can be casually admired during evening seaside strolls. The fireworks are launched from ocean barges anchored between the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal and Shinko Pier. Over a breathtaking 5-minute barrage, hundreds of high-caliber shells ignite the night sky in rapid succession, blossoming into cascading gold willow branches, shimmering silver comets, and radiant colored bouquets reflected across the bay waters. The peerless magic of the event is its world-famous illuminated backdrop: the colossal digital light kaleidoscope of the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, the soaring 296-meter Yokohama Landmark Tower, and the vintage ocean liner NYK Hikawa Maru strung with sparkling maritime fairy lights. Visitors can watch completely free from the sweeping rooftop timber deck of Osanbashi Pier ("Whale’s Back"), Yamashita Park, or Red Brick Warehouse promenade.
